In today’s reading, David is asking God to help him get back on the right track, again. This is coming from a story on David, who in 2 Samuel 11, committed adultery with Bathsheba and she became pregnant. David devised a plan to get rid of her husband and marry Bathsheba.  God was not pleased. In 2 Samuel 12, Nathan , a prophet, told David a story of a rich man and a poor man. The rich man took the poor man’s pet, a lamb, and killed it to serve for a meal for friends.  The story infuriated David and said the rich man should die.  Nathan said, David, you are that man. In Psalm 32, David asks for forgiveness.  Now, in Psalm 51, David is looking for a new start.
