31st Day of Lent, March 25, 2026 – John 8:31-47

An interesting passage where the people weren’t always  an accepting crowd. The atmosphere is tense.  It is a heated exchange between Jesus and the Pharisees. The Pharisees are questioning Jesus’ teachings and his authority. He brings up that they are trying to kill him. He talks about sin is a slave to sin, highlighting the entrapment that sin can have in our lives.

Today, we are in a world where many chase after various forms of freedom through material possessions, where true freedom is spiritual and found in Christ.

I thought this passage would be good to read where Jesus had to battle many cultures to get believers.
