Matthew 23:24-33 and
Matthew 26:14-16

CH 23- this is a message for believers to focus on being humble and sincere in heart before God. The passage highlights the hypocrisy of the religious leaders who were experts on the law but failed to live out its true intentions. Jesus called them blind guides, implying they lacked spiritual insight and understanding. The gnat and camel illustrated their misplaced priorities, focusing on trivial matters. Jesus called out the Pharisees for looking righteous on the outside, yet were wicked and sinful on the inside. He tells the crowds not to follow their example but instead live lives of humility and genuine faith.  Live a life that truly honors God.

CH 26 – this passage serves as a cautionary tale for believers. It highlights the importance of loyalty and integrity in our relationships. Also be aware of the potential of betrayal to occur even among those closest to us.

30 pieces of silver was the price of a slave.  It’s a reminder of how Jesus was undervalued and betrayed for material gain. It prompts us to reflect on the value of our relationships.

Our actions are not judged solely on the surface level of what we do, but rather in the sincerity and faithfulness of our hearts.
